Several communities in the Ofoase Ayirebi constituency now have access to potable water thanks to the concerted efforts of the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
The 10,00-liter mechanized water systems strategically installed in various locations across Ofoase Ayirebi including Otwereso Mpaebo, Abromanmu, Paradise Ayirebi, and Health Centre Ayirebi marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to address the long-standing water challenges faced by local communities in the constituency.
The introduction of these mechanized water systems ensures the sustainable supply of clean water and see to it that residents have access to potable water for their daily needs, including drinking and cooking and contributes to the promotion of public health, as clean water is crucial for preventing waterborne diseases and improving overall well-being.
During the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah expressed his delight at the completion of these water projects, emphasizing their importance in enhancing the quality of life for his constituents. He commended the collective efforts of the community, and other stakeholder groups involved in making these interventions a reality.

Residents who couldn’t hide their joy heaped praises on the MP and said the implementation of these water systems will significantly reduce the burden on community members, especially women and children who previously had to travel long distances in search of safe drinking water.
