Oppong Nkrumah lauds steady progress of Agenda 111

So far, 88 hospitals under government’s much-touted Agen­da 111 Health Infrastructure Project are currently under construction and progressing steadily, says In­formation Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah. With a total of 111 healthcare facilities planned, the project will provide hospitals to 101 outstanding districts and regional and specialized hospitals across the country. During a recent site inspection of the projects which began in Trede in the Ashanti Region, where President Akufo-Addo first cut sod for its commencement some two years ago, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of construction.

88 Facilities Under Construction - Milestones Achieved

He said the progress of Health Infrastructure Project has been impressive, with 88 of the intended 111 health facilities already under construction. The government's commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and accessibility is evident through these significant achievements. Once completed, these state-of-the-art healthcare facilities will cater to various medical needs, including surgical theaters for maternity, obstetrics, and gynecology, as well as male, female, pediatric, and isolation wards.

Meticulous Planning and Collaborative Efforts

To ensure smooth execution, the project has been divided into eight zones, with each zone consisting of an average of 14 sites. Dedicated teams of consultants, including architects, civil engineers, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and biomedical engineers, are working tirelessly to guarantee the success of the construction process.

Minister Nkrumah acknowledged the challenges faced during the project's implementation. However, he reassured the public that the government remains steadfast in delivering high-quality healthcare facilities.
